SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER AND ADOPTIVE CHILDREN

FAFS BERGEN COUNTY HAS SCHOLARSHIP MONEY AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY.  THE GUIDELINES FOR QUALIFYING ARE OUTLINED BELOW.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO APPLY PLEASE CONTACT ROSANNDOYLE@MSN.COM or call on 201-444-7215.

-Each year the committee will determine the maximum that can be granted to any one recipient in the school year.  The 2007 amount per applicant has been determined to be $1000.

-All applications will be forwarded to a central representative for BCFAFS.  

-All monies awarded will be forwarded directly to the bursars office and not to the recipient.

-Criteria for consideration:

+ Foster or Adoptive family must reside in Bergen County at the time of the application

+Award will be available to the applicant for a maximum of 4 years of college  

+Applicant must be adopted through NJ DYFS (adoptive)

+Applicant must be placed in the home through NJ DYFS (foster)

+Applicant must maintain satisfactory grades

+The committee reserves the right to consider and award special requests/circumstances on the merits of each exception
